Andrew Jackson's Ghost

What is the legend surrounding Andrew Jackon's ghost?

This statue of President Andrew Jackson is the first equestrian statue cast in the United States. Sculptor Clark Mills took seized cannons that General Jackson had captured from the British army in the Battle of New Orleans and melted them down to use in the casting of the statue that now rests in the center of haunted Lafayette Park. There are a variety of haunted accounts involving the boisterous Andrew Jackson within the White House. Most of the stories center around the canopy bed in the Rose bedroom on the second floor.read more »
